The Peninsula Museum of Art enhances our region and enriches lives through art and education. The inclusion of artists’ studios as a department of the Museum is a deliberate effort to bridge the gap between the creative community of professional-level artists and the community at large.
The Peninsula Museum of Art engages and serves all groups in the greater Burlingame and San Mateo County Area. We welcome groups into our Museum for tours, including those groups that are not routinely served by other organizations: Veterans, the elderly, handicapped and mentally challenged. Additionally we regularly give tours to school groups, classes, Scouting Groups as well as art classes. Our Family Fun Days serve all families in the surrounding area with children ages 4-12. The Museum is free and open to the public so anyone is welcome to tour the Museum Galleries and Museum Studio Gallery.
We are a free nonprofit visual arts complex housing five museum exhibit galleries, a children’s art program, a library resource center, and a gift shop. Our focus is art created by living artists of the Greater Bay Area. PMA is also home to the Museum Studios, 30 working studios where visual artists create and exhibit paintings, sculpture, photography, mixed media, jewelry, fiber art, and millinery. Free admission and plenty of parking in our lot. Please visit the Museum in person, online at peninsulamuseum.org, or find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
